About Us

The BBS Bulletin started out in 1998 as a monthly electronic newsletter produced entirely by volunteer writers and editors affiliated with the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Ph.D. Program. Articles address newsworthy developments within Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, the Division of Medical Sciences, and the BBS program — especially those affecting the graduate student population — as well as various aspects of student life, research, work/life balance, local charity/volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and events of interest. In recent years, the BBS Bulletin conducted online surveys (e.g. the 2008 BBS Housing Survey) whose results have been utilized by the BBS Program in recruitment and orientation materials.

In Spring 2009, the BBS Bulletin expanded its circulation to all Ph.D. programs in the Division of Medical Sciences and was renamed the DMS Bulletin.
